“I will be forever grateful”
Dulari was cooking when the edge of her saree caught on fire.
“I cried out for help,” explained Dulari. “My husband came running and quickly poured water on me and rushed me to the hospital.”
Her back and legs were severely burned.
“I was in bed for 9 months,” she said. “After that, I faced a lot of difficulties. I couldn’t walk, my legs had shrunk, and the skin peeled off. I could barely sit down. I gave up all hope.”
Dulari needed surgery, but her family couldn’t afford it.
“We only had enough money to buy food,” she said. “I could not walk straight, and people made fun of me and called me lame. No one came forward to help me or console my heart. Whenever I remembered that day, I felt like crying. I didn’t want to live anymore, but then God showed me the way.”
She kept looking for help. Then the family heard about a hospital that partners with Operation Blessing. They reached out to us, and we paid for Dulari’s multiple surgeries.
With renewed hope, she said, “I have a new life now. I can walk normally without any pain. I can carry bags from the market, and work at home without needing support from anyone. I will be forever grateful to everyone who helped me get my surgery. Thank you so much.”
