The lone Somali "pirate" who was captured by American forces last week is on U.S. soil.  He sees a New York judge today.  The teenager is expected to be charged with piracy and hostage taking.

I hope you have an opportunity to see the story we did today for CBN News on Ami Ortiz. It's a remarkable story.

Ami Ortiz is the young teen who opened a Purim holiday gift package a little over a year ago and nearly died because the gift was actually a bomb in disguise.

The picture of Ami taken just moments after the bombing is gruesome. You wonder how anyone could survive such an ordeal, much less live a normal life.

Today finds me in sunny beautiful Carlsbad California. I gave a speech here last night and am flying home in a few hours. I was awakened this morning by the alarm clock and then loud TV sounds from the room next door to me. My immediate response was to be bothered and a bit frustrated. Then I realized "I am in California!
