“The ultimate goal for us as we cover this impeachment process is to just get as close to the truth as we can. I think right now that feels really fuzzy because we can’t have access to the hearings that are happening, we can’t see the lawmakers asking witnesses questions, we are not hearing directly from the witnesses themselves. We’re only hearing second-hand information from leaks,” Dana Ritter, CBN News Washington Bureau Chief said of the struggle to cover the impeachment inquiry thus far.

“As we get into the next phase of public hearings, it will be easier for us to do our job and sort through all of the spin and all of the noise to get to the actual bottom of what happened,” she continued.

Listen in to today's CBN News Daily Rundown as Ritter explains what’s different about how Democrats are handling this impeachment process and what she’s on the lookout for as it moves forward.

Lights, camera, action!!!

Efrem Graham is CBN's entertainment correspondent and host of Studio 5.

"I used to laugh at entertainment reporters when I was a student journalist and say 'they don't do real news, I want to do real hard news," Efrem tells the Rundown.

He wasn't seeking a career covering entertainment, but that's where God placed him.

"The entertainment world is a place where so many opportunities to share the gospel can happen," Efrem says.

Like everyone, he's had to weather some storms as some of his stories have been met with rebuke.

Don't miss the talented Efrem Graham today on the CBN News Daily Rundown.

CBN contributor Chuck Holton has seen firsthand that there are areas in northeast Syria where the ceasefire agreement with Turkey is not being honored. On today’s CBN News Daily Rundown, he shares about the danger civilians face as they try to evacuate not only themselves but their dead—many of whom are still buried under the rubble of their bombed-out villages.

Vice President Mike Pence announced, Thursday, that Turkey has agreed to a five-day ceasefire in northeast Syria. Still, lawmakers on both sides of the aisle are taking a stand against President Trump's decision to pull troops out of the region, and if this new peace plan falls apart, Congress is preparing increased sanctions against Turkey. Capitol Hill correspondent Abigail Robertson points out, this conflict marks the first time Republican leadership has been outspoken in opposition to a Trump policy. She's on today's CBN News Daily Rundown.
