Four out of ten Americans are not working, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Now, there's a new trend among younger Americans that indicates it's actually cool not to work.
PEW researchers found that many in the youngest generation of the American workforce, ages 16-24, say they're content with not working. Some say if they don't have a good paying job, they could receive more through government assistance.
Meanwhile, many people already in the workforce are now quitting. Two million people quit their jobs in September, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The reason for the drop out is not clear. Some analysts say this could signal that workers are gaining more confidence they will find a better job. Others say this could mean wage increases are just around the corner.
