Greek lawmakers voted yes Thursday on an economic package that paves the way for assistance from the European Union. The three-year bailout plan is worth $93 billion.

"We had a very specific choice: a deal we largely disagreed with, or a chaotic default," Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tspiras told parliament ahead of the vote.

The German stock market responded well to the vote, but some Greek citizens are not happy with the move.

On Wednesday evening, violent clashes broke out during an anti-austerity rally in Athens.

The new austerity bill includes consumer tax increases and pension reforms.
