The Mediterranean diet, coupled with four extra tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil a day, could be a good way for women to cut down their risk of breast cancer.

The diet consists largely of fruits, vegetables, and fish, along with olive oil.

The findings were published in JAMA Internal Medicine.

Some experts have questions about the study, but other research has also shown the benefits of the Mediterranean diet. Experts also recommend exercise along with a healthy diet to keep down the risk of cancer and other serious diseases.
