He's been called Great Britain's most hated man and the face of radical Islam in the United Kingdom.
Anjem Choudary makes no bones about it--he wants to see Britain become an Islamic state ruled by sharia law. In his vision, Britain would be part of a global Islamic caliphate--or super state--and the entire world would bow to Allah.
But what sets Choudary apart from the Muslim Brotherhood and other silver-tongued Islamists here in the West is that he tells you upfront, with no mincing of words, exactly what he wants: jihad, sharia, caliphate.
I saw this quote the other day and it truly moved me. I thought about how God is our rock in life and no matter if we are at the bottom or the top He is our foundation. I also was moved by the message of rebuilding from the destruction and ashes of your world. The truth is that as long as God has given you another day here on Earth, you have another day to redeem your life and take charge of your problems. We often just throw in the towel and say that there is no hope.
“It’s just so hard to work on this marriage,” Jennifer said, appearing exhausted. She curled up on the couch, buried her head in her hands and began to cry. Don, her husband of 12 years, looked at her dispassionately, as he too felt discouraged and powerless. Jennifer and Don had come to The Marriage Recovery Center out of sheer desperation.
There he goes again! It's hard to believe New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is, once again, using strong-arm tactics to force his constituents to adopt healthier lifestyles, whether they like it or not.
His latest target is infant formula. He wants mothers to stay away from the stuff and opt for breast feeding instead.
In 2003, I attended a speech by then-Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin at a church in Rockville, Md. At the speech, Boykin wore his U.S. Army dress uniform, but made it clear to the crowd that his opinions were his own.
Several months later, NBC military analyst, William Arkin "broke" a story about Boykin. In it, he grossly misrepresented the general's speeches and constructed a giant scandal where there should never have been one. It pays to note that Arkin is a Greenpeace liberal who did one hitch (four years) in a rear-echelon job in the Army more than 30 years earlier.
For all the so-called geniuses inside the Beltway and mainstream media realms who believe talk of Muslim Brotherhood infiltration is the domain of wackos and modern-day McCarthyites (and who the great Andrew McCarthy thoroughly debunked here), I strongly encourage a thorough reading of my friend and colleague Patrick Poole's latest piece at PJMedia.
We can speculate all day about who Mitt Romney will pick for his running mate, but it's just that...speculation.
One thing we know is that former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty has been pounding the pavement hard for Romney for months. He's become one of Romney's go-to surrogates and is rumored to be very high on the list of his picks for vice president.
Pawlenty, once considered a strong contender for the Republican nomination himself, would be considered by many to be fit for office should Romney win.
Regular viewers of the Stakelbeck on Terror Show know that I've reported extensively on the very real threat of an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack against the U. S. homeland.
Touted as a game show with ‘biblical proportions’, The American Bible Challenge tests people’s knowledge of God’s Word. This new Bible quiz show premieres on Game Show Network (GSN) on August 23, 2012. Comedian Jeff Foxworthy acts as host inviting contestants to prove their familiarity of Bible stories and history. Episode winners don’t walk away with money in their own pocket though.
Here’s a good example of how the mainstream media just doesn’t get it when it comes to the Tea Party. Read these two paragraphs by Jennifer Steinhauer in today’s New York Times about the Tea Party, but pay attention to the last line.
