Ok. So it's not Father's Day. Sue me. I know Barack Obama gave his Father's Day speech yesterday and I'm just getting around to it now but I was busy opening my ties and Brut by Faberge and Old Spice colognes. Can The Brody File not get something really useful for Father's Day like a new pair of 'blogger pajamas" so I can wear them in the basement while I blog? Sorry. Too much detail. I digress. Let me get to the real reason for this blog.

I just got off the phone with a woman who was in tears over her desire to lose 30 pounds. It was one of the saddest conversations I have ever had with a reader of mine--or a friend!   She so desperately wants to lose the weight but something, or in this case, someone is holding her back.   That is a terrible feeling and a horrible thing to sit by and watch happen to someone. NO ONE should be allowed to steal your joy, to ruin your day or to keep you from realizing your dreams and goals.   NOT EVEN YOURSELF!

CBN News has covered the ongoing controversy surrounding the Islamic Saudi Academy in northern Virginia extensively. As I reported back in June 2006, this K thru 12 school--which is owned and operated by the Saudi government and sits just 14 miles from the White House--has used textbooks that vilify Jews and Christians and promote a radical Wahhabi strain of Islam. The Academy is basically an American-based extension of Saudi Arabia's educational system. No wonder, then, that The U.S.
