President Joe Biden returned to the White House Monday to address the nation on the U.S. evacuation from Afghanistan, as the planned withdrawal of American forces turned deadly at Kabul's airport as thousands tried to flee the country a day after the Taliban's takeover.


The U.S. military struggled to manage a chaotic evacuation from Afghanistan on Monday as the Taliban patrolled the capital and tried to project calm after toppling the Western-backed government.

The entire country of Afghanistan could fall into the hands of Taliban soldiers as soon as 30-days after Islamic radicals captured three more major provincial capitals today. As insurgents press a lightning offensive now gradually encircling the capital city of Kabul, the Biden administration has been forced to rush 3,000 U.S. troops to help evacuate the U.S. embassy.

In Afghanistan's western city of Farah, the Taliban celebrated their take over by dragging the dead body of an Afghan soldier through the streets, chanting "Allah is Great".

The term "energy terrorism" is being used to describe suspicious activity in the vicinity of the Strait of Hormuz near Iran.

The Taliban has seized three more provincial capitals in Afghanistan, and a local Afghan Army headquarters. The Islamic radicals now control nearly two-thirds of the entire country.

Another key city fell to the Taliban on Sunday as American-trained forces continue to collapse and surrender in Afghanistan. Similar scenes happened when the U.S. pulled out of Iraq in 2008, allowing the rise of the ISIS terror group which forced the U.S. military to return.
