Easter is one of the most important holidays for Christian believers. Celebrating the resurrection of our Savior and the atonement of our sins is an exciting time for us. But, it is hard to explain this amazing story to children, especially when there is a bunny hopping around in their minds. The Easter Bunny who brings candy and treats distracts children (and adults) from why this holiday is important.
What a difference two decades make.

There was an awkward moment at a Mitt Romney town hall this morning in Green Bay when a man started to list controversial quotes from the Book of Mormon.
It appears that one of Romney’s staffers looks like he’s trying to stop the man from continuing and then Romney says that he’s not here to have a conversation about religion.
The man's question to Romney was as follows:
Man: Okay, well, in the Mormon Book it says there was a blackness came upon all the children of Canaan.
Three years ago, I produced a series called The Jewish Jesus, that tells the story of Jesus entirely from the Old Testament. While I researched that story, I stumbled on a wealth of information about Jesus’ genealogy, and about the family that survived him. It wasn’t the sensational “Jesus had a wife and daughter” hook from The Da Vinci Code, but still fascinating nonetheless.

GMC TV is celebrating the ‘greatest stories ever told’ this week with a movie lineup leading up to Easter Sunday, April 8. The cable television channel is set to air classic Bible story-inspired films as well as premiere movies never before seen on GMC TV. In total, the channel will feature six films throughout the week, including the GMC TV premieres of Jesus and The Greatest Story Ever Told.

By a vote of 228-191, the U.S. House passed a budget plan proposed by Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., "The Path to Prosperity."
It's the second year in a row the GOP-controlled House approved an annual budget since reclaiming control in the 2010 midterm elections. Today, the Global March to Jerusalem organizers hope to mobilize a million people to march to Israel's borders.
According to their website, they "… will demand freedom for Jerusalem and its people and put an end to the apartheid, ethnic cleansing, and Judaization policies affecting the people, land, and sanctity of Jerusalem."
