1. Prayer Plane
Here’s an inspirational story for you from New Zealand. Two pilots began desperately praying after an engine went out on their plane. Call it divine intervention, but the pair found a safe landing spot right next to a large that said “Jesus is Lord.”
2. Shrouded in Mystery
Houston Rockets star Yao Ming might be in the U.S. recovering from a foot injury, but his heart is in China with the victims of the earthquake.
It is always tempting to blame others for our distress. We can clearly see what we think others are doing to us, but have a much more difficult time seeing our role in the problem.
I receive dozens of emails every day from people complaining about their circumstances. People from every walk of life, with every problem imaginable. People suffering from marital infidelity, drug and alcohol abuse, gambling and sexual addiction, as well as emotional abuse in marriage.
When I was a young boy and visited my grandparents in South Georgia each summer, I was always struck by the picture of a soldier that was prominently displayed in their living room.
It's been over a week since an earthquake devastated China's Sichuan Province, leaving over seventy thousand dead, missing, or buried in the rubble. More than forty thousand have lost their lives, but many parents have lost something they consider even more precious: their only children.
It had all the drama of victory. It had all the drama of closure.
Hillary keeps on churnin'. Tonight she told supporters that she's winning the popular vote. Umm.the Obama campaign may have a thing or two to say about that. Anyhow read a portion of her speech below:
