Members of CBN's Operation Blessing U.S. Disaster Relief Team are continuing relief efforts in Charleston, W. Va., Wednesday.

Less than a week ago a chemical spill in the local river contaminated the city's water supply, leaving over 300,000 residents without potable water for drinking, showering, cooking, or even washing their hands.

Operation Blessing is working with the local Union Mission, providing bottled water, shower trailers, diapers, paper plates, towels, and other relief supplies.

Local residents have expressed their gratitude to Operation Blessing and Union Mission, saying the relief support has been wonderful.

Jennifer Bodwin, a local resident and mother of three kids, said their help has been a "miracle and a blessing" and without it the situation would have been much worse.

On Wednesday, Operation Blessing will be distributing more than 75,000 bottles of water.

West Virginia's water supply has been restored to about half of the affected customers.
