Jewish and Christian leaders gathered for a Middle East peace rally in Alabama on Tuesday night to show their support for Israel.
"It's amazing. The Christian and Jewish community and American Israeli gathered together tonight to show support to Israel," one rally-goer said.
Hundreds of locals were present, many of whom had direct ties to the conflict.
Michael Duvdevani's brother is an Israeli soldier.
"They're in Northern Gaza," Duvdevani said. "They're out securing the border area, ensuring that terrorist don't infiltrate Israel and kill civilians... It's hard. It's hard. It's very emotional."
Meanwhile, Alabamans with Palestinian ties called for the war to stop, and for an independent Palestinian state.
