Kathie Lee Gifford's tribute to her late husband Frank Gifford is going viral on social media.
The host of NBC's "Today Show" spoke about her husband's faith and legacy when she returned to the show this week.
Gifford, an NFL icon and longtime co-anchor of Monday Night Football, passed away on August 9.
Kathie Lee opened up about her husband's final hours and even took the opportunity to share the Gospel.
"He'd want you to know that, that he died in complete peace, he knew every sin he'd ever committed was forgiven," Gifford said.
"He had the hope that he would be with the Lord and that we would someday be with him as well," she continued. "That is the foundation of the Christian faith, is forgiveness, grace and hope. And those of you who are hurting today and feel hopeless, it might be the answer for you. In fact I know it's the answer for you."
Gifford said her husband had given his life to Jesus as a boy, and that even when he strayed in life, God never left him.
