CBN.comA double celebration took place in Florida when a couple got married underwater to help mark the 50th anniversary of the iconic "Christ of the Deep" statue in the Florida Keys.
The Miami couple got married Tuesday next to the nine-foot statue of Jesus.
The statue is a replica of the Italian "Christ of the Abyss" that was placed in a shallow bay near Portofino, Italy, in 1954.
The "Christ of the Deep" bronze sculpture was submerged in the Florida Keys in 1965.
For the traditional wedding kiss, the bride and groom removed their scuba breathing mouthpieces.
