The New York Daily News'  front-page headline proclaiming "God Isn't Fixing This" is causing controversy.

In the wake of Wednesday's mass shooting in San Bernadino, it suggests folks like Sens. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, Rand Paul, R-Ky., and House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., are cowards who offer prayers instead of any meaningful gun bans.

Brent Bozell, president of the Media Research Center, labeled the cover "offensive and disgraceful."

Dr. Russell Moore, with the Southern Baptist Convention, offers his take on the issue of "prayer shaming" after the shooting in San Bernardino, California. Click play to watch.

He's calling for the New York Daily News to fire the editor responsible for approving the headline and story.

"For a major city newspaper to use their front page to mock people who are praying after what happened yesterday is unconscionable and unbefitting a publication that purports to be a serious media outlet," Bozell stated.

He added, "If the news media want to be atheists, that's their business. But how dare they now ridicule people of faith. This kind of anti-religious bigotry is precisely what fuels Islamic terrorists' hatred toward Americans."
