The Southern Baptist Convention is kicking off its annual meeting by inviting the nation to join in an evening of prayer.
SBC President Ronnie Floyd has titled it "A National Call for Prayer to All Southern Baptists for the Next Great Awakening and to Reach the World for Christ."
"God is opening the doors to forward to the entire world the need to pray," Floyd said. "This will provide an opportunity for Southern Baptists who cannot come to Columbus, plus all evangelicals and beyond, to join us in this Kingdom cause."
The prayer event can be viewed live, Tuesday night, in every time zone and will also be carried on the .
The Call for Prayer will air from 8:30-10 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday (5:30 p.m. Pacific) and then at 1 a.m. Eastern (10 p.m. Pacific).
