While the United States is becoming more secularized, Americans who embrace religion are keeping their faith.
A Pew Research Center Survey finds that the 77 percent of American adults who identify with a faith group are staying engaged with their faith.
"Among the roughly three-quarters of U.S. adults who do claim a religion, there has been no discernible drop in most measures of religious commitment. Indeed, by some conventional measures, religiously affiliated Americans are, on average, even more devout than they were a few years ago," Pew reported.
Two-thirds of those adults say faith is very important to them and they pray daily and about 60 percent say they attend worship services at least once or twice a month.
A higher percentage say they regularly read scripture, participate in small prayer or study groups and share their faith with others.
