The storms have passed and the floods are fading, but cleanup is far from over in South Carolina.
Gov. Nikki Haley said her state is moving into recovery mode. She declined to speculate on how much monetary damage the floods had caused. She did, however, promise to rebuild.
"This is not going to take us years to get out of this," the governor said.
Haley added that she won't decide whether she'll ask lawmakers to return before January to find money for repairs until she's better assessed how much damage has occurred.
