At least two people are dead and more than 100 injured following an explosion at a jail in Pensacola, Florida.
The gas explosion at the Escambia County Jail late Wednesday night caused the building to partially collapse.
Between 100 and 150 inmates and corrections officers were injured.
About 600 inmates were in the Pensacola building at the time. Those with injuries, all minor, were transported to local hospitals, while the uninjured were taken to jails in neighboring counties, officials said.
It's unclear whether the widespread flooding that swamped the region played a role in the blast.
