Boko Haram has struck again in Nigeria, killing 35 people and kidnapping 185 women, children, and militia fighters in a northeast village, according to government officials.
"No doubt they were Boko Haram members because they were chanting 'Allahu akbar' (God is great) while shooting at people and torching houses," teenager Aji Ibrahim, who escaped the attack, told The Associated Press.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, but it resembled the Boko Haram attack and abduction of 276 schoolgirls in April.
It happened about 12 miles from Chibok, where the Islamic terrorists kidnapped the schoolgirls.
More than 200 of those girls are still missing despite international efforts to find them and force Boko Haram to negotiate their release. It's believed that some of them were forced to marry their captors or were taken to other countries.
There are also fears that an increased number of female suicide bombers means Boko Haram is forcing them to carry out terrorist attacks.
