Search efforts continue for the missing Malaysia Airlines jetliner and authorities are not ruling out any possible cause for the sudden disappearance of the plane.

It's been five days since Flight 370 disappeared with 239 people on board. It took off from Kuala Lumpur for Beijing early Saturday morning.

More nations have joined the search, but the flight's potential path is causing more confusion and causing the search area to be expanded. It now covers 27,000 square miles.

"There's too much information and confusion right now. It is very hard for us to decide whether a given piece of information is accurate," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang told reporters in Beijing. "We will not give it up as long as there's still a shred of hope."

Authorities are not ruling out the possibility of mechanical failure, pilot error, sabotage, or terrorism in its disappearance.
