A team of inspectors overseeing the dismantling of Syria's chemical weapons stockpile came under fire earlier Tuesday.
Their convoy was traveling to the site of an alleged chlorine gas attack when a roadside bomb hit one of their vehicles.
The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons says all staff members are safe and back at their operating base.
The circumstances of the attack remain unclear.
Concerned over the attack, OPCW Director-General Ambassador Ahmet Uzumcu once again called for all parties to cooperate with the mission.
"Our inspectors are in Syria to establish the facts in relation to persistent allegations of chlorine gas attacks," Uzumcu said. "Their safety is our primary concern, and it is imperative that all parties to the conflict grant them safe and secure access."
Syria's remaining declared stockpile has been packaged for shipment out of the country to meet a June 30 deadline for destruction.
