Pastor Saeed Abedini's mother has fled Iran out of fear for her life.
Saeed is the Iranian-born American pastor imprisoned for his faith in Iran. His mother has been an outspoken advocate for her son's release.
After Iranian authorities barred her from visiting him in prison, she became concerned that she might also be arrested.
After enduring constant threats and intimidation, she fled Iran with two of her children.
Naghmeh Abedini, Saaed's wife, told Fox News her mother-in-law is safe in another country and hoping to come to the U.S.
"We look forward to seeing her soon here in the United States. It has been a difficult time for all of us, including Saeed's mom," Naghmeh said.
On her Facebook page, Naghmeh wrote, "I know that God is in control and only Jesus (no government) will get all of the Glory for Saeed's release."
