Bus Bombing in Somalia Kills at Least 10

04-20-2015

At least 10 people are dead and many more wounded in Somalia after a bomb exploded on a bus carrying United Nations workers.

Among the victims were seven Somali guards and two Kenyan nationals.

The al Qaeda-linked terror group al Shabab claimed responsibility for the bombing.

A U.N. employee, speaking on condition of anonymity, said most of the victims traveling on the UNICEF bus were foreigners working with the U.N.

Somali police say the bomb was planted under a seat and detonated remotely.

Al-Shabab claimed responsibility for a massive attack earlier this month at a university in Kenya, which killed 148 people, mostly students.

Kenya retaliated for the massacre by bombing al-Shabab camps in Somalia.
