A truck bomb killed at least 76 people and injured 212 others in a Baghdad market Thursday morning. The Islamic State is claiming responsibility.
The attack took place in the predominantly Shiite neighborhood known as Sadr City.
A police officer at the scene said a booby-trapped refrigerator truck blew up inside the market, killing dozens and throwing body parts on top of nearby buildings.
Islamic State terrorists commonly target such areas to intimidate the Shiite-dominated government. The Sunni group controls about one-third of Iraq.
Meanwhile, it appears ISIS has beheaded another foreign hostage.
A graphic photo reportedly shows a 30-year-old Croatian hostage who'd been kidnapped in Egypt.
A caption said he was killed because Croatia is helping fight the war against ISIS.
Family and friends gathered at a church to pray for the victim and his family.
Croatia's president is asking people not to circulate the grisly photograph so people can remember the victim as a husband and father.
