Tropical Storm Erika pummeled the eastern Caribbean island of Dominica Thursday, leaving at least four people dead and at least 20 others missing.
The storm dumped 15 inches of rain on the island.
Police officials say an elderly blind man and two children were killed when a mudslide crashed into their home in the southeast region of the island.
Forecasters say the tropical storm could reach South Florida as a hurricane on Monday and that locals should be prepared to evacuate.
Florida forecasters say at least three to four inches of rain are expected.
