Thousands of people in the Philippines are still facing days of severe rains after Typhoon Lando hit there Sunday morning local time. The Weather Channel calls it "a slow motion disaster."
At least 23 people died and several more are missing. The heavy rain from the storm could lead to more dangerous flooding and mudslides.

"Our team would be ready to feed people in the evacuation centers, give food packs for families ready for three days. Purified water would be given to them," Dr. Kim April Pascual, from Operation Blessing Philippines, said.
The OB medical team is traveling Wednesday morning to provide much needed medical aid.
"We can go in and look at the people and how their health is doing so we can help prevent an epidemic to arise," she explained. "In these towns, we want to be more strategic, not just relief, but we want to help them rebuild their lives by giving them livelihood programs."
