Grim news has emerged about the Nigerian school girls kidnapped two years ago by Boko Haram.

In a video released Sunday, the Islamic terror group claims several of the girls were killed in a government airstrike and demands the release of terrorists who've been detained in exchange for those remaining.

Boko Haram kidnapped 218 girls from their school in Chibok in 2014.

The video also shows one of the girls, dressed in a hijab, pleading with authorities to release captive terrorists in exchange for their freedom. Speaking in the Chibok language, she mentions her mother by name.

"Please go and beg the government of Nigeria to release the members of our abductors so they too can free us to let us come home," she says.

No one knows how many of the kidnapped girls are still alive.
