The city of Birmingham, England, is investigating an alleged Muslim plot to expand Islamic influence in the public schools.
The city has received more than 200 complaints from about 25 schools saying a group of Muslims plans to force out school staff who resist the increasing observance of Islamic customs in schools.
Birmingham's City Council and the Department for Education are both investigating complaints that non-Muslim staff have been bullied, boys and girls have been segregated, and sex education has been banned.
The complaints focus on a scheme called "Operation Trojan Horse" referenced in an anonymous letter made public. The letter's authenticity has not been verified.
