Michigan: The New Cairo
It appears we are now living in a time when some Americans are choosing violence over civil discourse when they disagree with decisions made by lawmakers.
Such is the case in Lansing, Mich., where union protestors recently destroyed private property (a tent occupied and owned by Americans For Prosperity) while assaulting and threatening the life of Fox News contributor Steven Crowder.
The attack occured just one day after the President of the United States told auto workers the state's right-to-work law was a legislative decision based on politics, not economic necessity.
Less than a week earlier, Mr. Obama expressed "deep concern" for the violence that errupted outside the presidential palace in Cairo, Egypt. I wonder if he will express similar disapproval of the assault on Mr. Crowder outside the Michigan State Capitol building?
In the meantime, view this video of the Muslim Brotherhood's removal of protestor tents in Cairo. It's followed by the AFP tent undergoing a similar fate--with people still inside--in Lansing.
Watch and then you decide, but it seems to me Michigan is resembling Cairo these days as union members adopt the strong-arm tactics of the Muslim Brotherhood.
