Amidst all the wailing and gnashing of teeth by big media about the economy, a new piece by Robert Samuelson offers a great reality check.
We're not sinking into a second Great Depression.
Samuelson explains that while the economy has slowed after a robust period, fears of economic collapse are unfounded and silly. He's expecting, at most, a mild recession.
Our intrepid Financial Editor Drew Parkhill concurs, telling me that "if we have (a recession) , it'll probably be shallow and brief. The yield curve is forecasting a WHOPPER of a recovery for later this year or into next. The media always go hysterical over economic bad news, especially when a Republican is in office, and they DO NOT know what they're talking about."
