At least 19 people are dead after a car bomb exloded in Nigeria's capital, Abuja.
Witnesses say a man pulled the explosives-laden vehicle up to a checkpoint then jumped out and ran away as it blew up.
The attack took place across the street from a bus station where a massive bombing killed 75 people last month.
The radical Islamic Boko Haram terrorist group claimed responsibility for that incident.
The most recent attack comes just days before the city hosts a global economic summit.
The government is deploying 6,000 police to protect business and government leaders who will meet there next week.
