Tremors continue to raise fears of another eruption at Japan's Mount Ontake.
The ongoing tremors have forced rescue teams to suspend efforts to recover the bodies of two dozen hikers killed in Saturday's eruption.
The volcano unexpectedly erupted while some 250 people were on the mountain.
At least 36 people have been killed. Experts speculate they died from suffocating ash, falling rocks, toxic gases or some combination of the three.
So far, rescue teams have managed to retrieve 12 bodies from the mountain.
Meanwhile, Japan's meteorological agency said the recent tremors have risen to a level they have not seen since Saturday's initial eruption.
