U.S.-led airstrikes against the Islamic State may be missing the mark, according to current and former U.S. officials.

They say the Pentagon faces major intelligence gaps when trying to bomb ISIS targets in Iraq and Syria.

Officials admit they're relying mainly on satellites and drones to pinpoint targets, but witnesses report the airstrikes have been hitting empty buildings that were vacated long ago.

Meanwhile, ISIS fighters are closing in on Baghdad, according to Andrew White, the Anglican priest known as the Vicar of Baghdad.

The Baghdad pastor told Fox News that ISIS has been defeating Iraqi troops and could be five miles away.

White says airstrikes are ineffective and only ground troops will keep ISIS out of the capital.
