New Farsi Bible Printed for Use Inside Iran

10-02-2014

After more than 18 years of hard work, Elam Ministries and a major Bible translation organization have launched a new Farsi language Bible.

Elam founder Sam Yeghnazar says his organization expects to print and distribute more than 300,000 copies within the next three years most of them for use inside Iran.

Though it's a closed Muslim country, Iran is home to one of the fastest growing churches in the world today.

The Islamic Republic had only 500 Christians in 1979.

Today, because of expanded satellite television and Internet use, some estimate the number could be as high as 750,000.
