Twitter headquarters in San Francisco is on high alert after an online post claiming to be from ISIS threatened its CEO and employees.

The threat appeared on the website called JustPaste.it, with a picture of Twitter co-founder and CEO Jack Dorsey in the crosshairs.

The post, written in Arabic, calls on jihadists worldwide to kill Twitter employees in retaliation to the social giant's crackdown on terrorist accounts.

"Jack helpless when their necks officially become a target for the soldiers of the Caliphate and supporters scattered among your midst," one post read, according to Business Insider.

Another post stated, "You started this failed war. We told you from the beginning it's not your war, but you didn't get it and kept closing our accounts on Twitter, but we always come back," UPI reported.

"For the 'individual jihadi' all over the world, target the company and its interests in any place, people, and buildings and don't allow any one of the atheists to survive," it said.

Twitter has been closing out accounts used by ISIS and its supporters for violating its terms of use, specifically its rules against violent content.

The Islamic State has used social media outlets, including Twitter, to recruit people from all over the world. The FBI is investigating the threats.
