A judge has granted a request by Disney and several Hollywood studios for a preliminary injunction against VidAngel.
VidAngel is a streaming service that allows families to filter content such as language, nudity and violence from movies.
This means VidAngel has to stop streaming content for films for which it has not obtained licenses.
VidAngel CEO Neal Harmon released a statement saying, "The decision is a temporary one that we will appeal. While the appellate process plays out, we will work to improve our system and prepare for our anticipated post-injunction re-launch."
Harmon added that VidAngel plans to appeal the case all the way to the Supreme Court.
