JERUSALEM, Israel – The White House acknowledged that the man-made uranium discovered by International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors at Iran's Parchin plant last year was used to develop nuclear weapons, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The inspectors discovered the uranium particles during investigations connected with the U.S.-led Iranian nuclear deal, culminated last July.
Despite its claim that the facility was used to develop conventional weapons, the uranium confirms suspicions that Iran has been pursuing nuclear weapons all along.
"The working assumption now is that it is tied to nuclear weapons development that Iran is believed to have pursued more than a decade ago," the report stated.
