I can’t wait for the VP debate in Kentucky. The Obama campaign needs Joe Biden to win this debate. If not, then (to use a baseball analogy) they will go down 2-0 to Team Romney and that’s not a good place to be at this stage in the campaign narrative.
I actually think Paul Ryan has the heavier lift. Despite the fact that he has never debated like this before, he is considered the intellectual leader of the conservative movement so they’ll be pressure on him to live up to that reputation. The bar is high for him.
We are created to live and then to depart from this Earth to be with our Savior in Heaven. God promises us an eternity of peace with Him. Even so, knowing this does not always ease the pain of losing someone you love. My grandmother, who has suffered from Alzheimer’s for a number of years, is slipping away rather quickly now. In some ways, I feel relieved. She has not been herself for years. My grandmother taught me many things about life.
Watch The Brody File interview Sarah Palin's father and brother, Chuck Heath Sr and Chuck Heath Jr., as they talk about their daughter and sister in their new book called, Our Sarah: Made in Alaska.
They appeared on this past week's Brody File show in D.C.
The Brody File interviewed Allen West recently down in West Palm Beach, Fla. He's in a tough and nasty race against Democrat Challenger Patrick Murphy.
Watch the excerpt below from this pasty week's Brody File show that airs on the ABC Family Channel.
It appears the push for embryonic stem cell treatment is fading and the acceptance, even preference, of adult stem cell treatments are emerging. This is great news for those of us who believe in the sanctity of life.
For many years, a large segment of the scientific community felt that stem cell treatments were primarily successful with the use of living, human embryonic stem cells, not adult stem cells.
While the mainstream media was sleeping (or weeping after their man President Obama's debate performance last week), Hamas renewed rocket attacks against Israel in a major way--with help from fellow Iranian proxy, Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Here's more, from the Jerusalem Post:
We're receiving more details of that gruesome massacre of Christian college students in Mubi, Nigeria last week.
I could feel myself growing more tense as I listened to Deborah make excuse after excuse for her excessive spending during a recent Marriage Intensive. “I know I spend too much,” she said meekly, looking down. “But, you’ve got to admit that I’m getting better about it.” She looked to her husband, Chuck, for reassurance. He frowned at her. “What?” she questioned indignantly. “You know I’ve been getting better about my spending.”
A marriage is about being a team not individuals with their own agendas. God says a husband and wife have been made into one flesh. If we take God seriously then we must approach our marriage in this way: as a team.
I recently made a major change and moved to a new city and house. The transition began with the moving truck broken down on the highway, then getting lost and unloading until midnight in the dark with a little intermittent rain. Then, I noticed a vine growing into my front porch and without thinking, yanked it out. It turned out to be poison ivy and it now is covering my face and arms with a vengeance.
