\In another Jerusalem news brief published by the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, Lt.-Col. (ret.) Michael Segall explains why for the Islamic Republic of Iran “compromise has almost ceased to be an option.”

Below are some key points from Segall’s report. To read the piece in full, please click here.

Republican hopeful Michele Bachmann claims the media is purposely trying to influence the GOP presidential race…and have slighted her in the process. Her campaign released an email that CBS News inadvertently sent to her campaign.

Did Herman Cain just have a pseudo-Rick Perry debate moment? You be the judge. It’s pretty brutal to watch.

This is Cain being asked about Libya while speaking today with the editorial board at the Milwaukee Wisconsin Journal Sentinel. The session was taped (as is normally the case).

It's one thing for me to say it. It's another thing entirely for a journalist from Saudi Arabia to say it, in a leading English-language Saudi daily, no less.

You have to read the entire piece (re-printed by Al-Arabiya) by Mshari al-Zaydi, who's described as an expert on Islamic fundamentalism. Here is a sampling:

Khartoum has yet to see massive crowds of angry protestors in its streets like those seen earlier this year in various capitals in North Africa and the Middle East, but trouble may soon be rising on Sudan's political horizon.

Four rebel groups -- all opposed to Omar al-Bashir and his National Congress Party (formerly the National Islamic Front and prior to that, The Muslim Brotherhood) -- have now coalesced to form the Sudan Revolutionary Front, or SRF.

It's an alliance aimed at toppling the Bashir regime through "armed struggle" and "civil political action."

Rebellion is something many children go through. It is even natural for children to rebel a little as they grow and try to establish who they are and what they want. However, some children rebel much worse than others and the effects can be detrimental to the family dynamic. Some children are naturally strong willed. I happened to have been one of them. Growing up, I wanted to make my own way.

Is it constitutional to make Americans buy health insurance? It's the question Americans and states have been asking since the law was introduced.

Now, the U.S. Supreme Court will answer it. The court will hear more than five hours of arguments on both sides of the debate in March. That's much more time than the court typically allows for arguments.

At least 26 states have sued, arguing the individual mandate in the law is unconstitutional. Several federal courts have heard their cases and ruled in different ways.

Note to America, Europe and Israel: Turkey is gone and it isn't coming back. That is, so long as it is led by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Islamist AKP Party.

Although Israeli officials speak publicly about preserving Israel's relationship with Turkey, they know in their guts that things are beyond salvageable, thanks to Erdogan and Co.'s relentless campaign of anti-Israel demagoguery and aggression. European powers, too, must realize this instinctively as they watch their erstwhile NATO ally cozy up to Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Muslim Brotherhood.

On Veterans Day, Beltway Buzz would like to salute all of the men and women who have served and continue to serve our great nation honorably. Thank you for your service, your sacrifice and your courage. May God richly bless you and your families!

President and Mrs. Obama kicked off Veterans Day by hosting veterans for breakfast at the White House. They then traveled to Arlington National Cemetery where the President placed a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns.

The president then spoke to those gathered for the ceremony. Here is the text of his speech.

Today is Veterans Day, a day to honor the men and women who have served in the U.S. military. I don’t take this day lightly as my brother gave his life for our freedom and my 90-year-old father is a surviving WWII veteran. Like many of you, my family has been personally affected by the cost of freedom. Thank you to all the brave men and women who fought for this country and served in the armed forces. We honor you this day.
