Another couple just arrived and participated in their Marriage Intensive at The Marriage Recovery Center. Like many others before them, they were broken and disconnected, wounded and worn. Sitting about as far from each other as they could on the sofa, each shared a list of wounds they had experienced, offering justification for their feelings of betrayal and detachment. We allow each person to speak freely at first—we want to know their heart and how they come to this treatment process.

Sometimes we have to dig around the dirt in order to plant something new, beautiful and well-rooted. This post is the first of two parts of a teaching on healing the past. Before you go forward, stop and pray. Ask God to open the eyes of your understanding to anything He may want to reveal to you.

This week on Jerusalem Dateline: Swapping prisoners for peace talks. Israeli families are angry that killers are going free, while others fear it could lead to more terrorism.

Plus, who owns Jerusalem? Muslims and Jews both make historical claims, but who has the historic and legal right to the holy city?

And, biblical prophecy fulfilled. Why some Christians head to the Holy Land to help farmers harvest their crops.

This week’s Brody File Show is on the air. We explore the healthcare problems that have spooked the Obama administration and have made life downright scary for many Americans.

We call it, “ObamaScare.”

Guests include Sen. Marco Rubio, Callista Gingrich and Franklin Graham. Watch below.

The Brody File crew is busting out the winter coats and snow shovels as we get ready to head to South Dakota and North Dakota. We leave Sunday and will be there through Tuesday.

So why are we going? We’re doing a personal profile story on Congresswoman Kristi Noem. We have a big interview with her set for Monday at her home.

Then it’s on to western North Dakota where we will be exploring the big economic oil boom that has made North Dakota an economic oasis in a country that is hurting economically.

We’ll also be doing a story on a family affected by Obamacare.

President Obama just doesn’t seem to get it. He told Americans time and time again that if you like your doctor and your healthcare plan, you could keep them.

That was a bold face lie. And he knew it.

Now he is saying well that’s okay because the plan you can get on the Obamacare website (whenever it actually starts working again) will actually be better than you’re old one.

Do you want an example of media bias? Check out The New York Times Thursday.

What was the big political story of the day on that day? We all know it was Kathleen Sebelius testifying about the disastrous rollout of Obamacare on Capitol Hill. I searched for that story on the front page of the NYT. Nothing.

Okay, they had a picture of Sebelius testifying but no story. They buried it on page A16 and then when I turned to the page, here was the headline:

“Contrite White House Spurns Health Law’s Critics”
