This week, I did a webinar for the American Association of Christian Counseling on Body Image and Food Addiction. Both are family problems. People struggle with hating their bodies and compulsively eating even when overeating does harm. But, the food addiction as a real addiction is a bit controversial. The scientific community is currently debating whether food is a real addiction.

The presidential debate in Hempstead, N.Y., Tuesday night mirrored the contours of this presidential race: Dead even. The Brody File calls it a TIE.

President Obama came out much more aggressive and was assertive throughout. It’s like someone gave the POTUS a five-hour Energy Drink before the debate. He was very sharp and didn’t let an opportunity go by to call out Romney on all sorts of issues.

Could the November elections force a shift of power in the Senate?

A new poll shows it's possible with the resurgent campaign of Missouri Congressman Todd Akin.

The Republican poll from Wenzel Strategies has Akin leading incumbent Claire McCaskill 49 percent to 45 percent.

Sen. McCaskill does maintain a 7-point advantage with women. Rep. Akin has a 16-point lead among men.

Georgia’s boss had told her she could keep her job if she successfully completed treatment and didn’t drink again. Now she sat in my office and admitted she relapsed. She had lost her mother and tried to drink away the pain.

The Turkish government has embarked on a mosque-building campaign throughout Germany.

And one new Turkish mega-mosque, the Cologne Central Mosque, has Germans on edge.

When construction on the facility is completed, it will be Germany's largest Muslim house of worship - and one of the largest mosques in all of Europe.

I recently paid the mosque a visit. Click on the viewer below to watch my on-the-ground report from Cologne.
