Judicial Watch President Slams FBI Clinton Decision: 'There's a Disconnect'

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton is questioning the FBI's decision not to indict Hillary Clinton over her disclosure of classified information on her private email server.

"Frankly, there's a disconnect between (FBI Director James) Comey's devastating findings and his weak recommendation not to prosecute Hillary Clinton," Fitton said.

Judicial Watch has been independently investigating the Clinton email scandal. The group released 165 pages of State Department records that included a March 2009 email from Clinton to two aides, Huma Abedin and Lauren Jiloty, revealing her concern over her personal and official records.

"I am sending out material the way I did w Lauren in the Senate, but I don't know what's happening w it all. For instance, I've sent a few things to Cheryl but she says she hasn't read them," Clinton wrote.

Clinton ended the message saying, "So, I think we need to get on this ASAP to be sure we know and design the system we want. Let me know what you both think. Thx."

The findings contradict Clinton's claim that "as far as she knew" all the emails were given to the State Department. She turned over no emails prior to March 18, 2009.

"Federal prosecutors, independent of politics, need to consider whether to pursue the potential violations of law confirmed by the FBI," Fitton said.

Meanwhile, Judicial Watch, which helped break the Clinton email scandal, says it will continue its investigation of the matter.
