North Carolina is a key battleground state in the 2016 presidential election and also the epicenter of many hot-button issues facing the US.
No one knows this better than the state’s governor, Pat McCrory, who’s up for reelection and trying to rally support for his campaign.
One issue he’s standing strong on is House Bill 2, better known as the “Bathroom Bill,” which requires people to use the bathrooms corresponding to the sex on their birth certificate, rather than their gender identity.
In an exclusive interview with CBN’s Jenna Browder, McCrory said he needs Christians and others within the “silent majority” to speak up.
Chad Connelly, head of faith outreach for the Republican National Committee, says he’s encouraged when he visits battleground states like North Carolina. In another exclusive interview with CBN’s David Brody, Connelly said pastors seem to be grasping the importance of turning out their flocks to vote this election.
Election day is November 8th.
