Thousands of people made their way to Selma, Alabama, and Atlanta this weekend to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
On Sunday, stars from the new movie "Selma" and hundreds of other people marched to the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Alabama, where a civil rights march in 1965 turned bloody when it was met by police with clubs and tear gas.
Oprah Winfrey helped lead the march with "Selma" director Ava DuVernay and actor David Oyelowo, who played King in the movie.
"Martin Luther King was shot for the work that he did. To know that is very humbling," singer John Legend, who contributed to the "Selma" soundtrack, said.
At Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, where King preached many of his sermons, Rev. Raphael Warnock urged congregants to celebrate the civil rights leader by "making a political and a religious commitment to complete his work of justice."
