Amidst the constant news of violence in the United States and around the world, a Louisiana group is spreading messages of love using rocks.
Amy Leblanc was inspired by a game her friends played in Missouri. They painted small rocks and had scavenger hunts to find them, but she put an inspirational twist on it.
"I got maybe half a dozen rocks and I put things on them like 'Jesus loves you,' 'God bless you,' 'have faith,' 'don't give up.' We put them around town we made a group, a Facebook group."
The Facebook group has only been up a short time, but it's averaging some 1,000 followers a day. People are eager to join this movement of hope.
"I was pumping gas and I look on the gas pump and there was this rock that said 'God loves you' and I just felt this sense of relief. I mean I didn't even know what the rock was for," said Jeremy Toups, a local who found one of the painted rocks.
The message may seem small, but a small message can mean a lot to someone feeling like they are at rock bottom.
These small acts of kindness are bringing people together in love instead of hate or anger.
