An Idaho man identifying as a woman was arrested Tuesday for taking photos of an 18-year-old woman trying on swimsuits in a women's fitting room at Target, according to local authorities.
Sean Patrick Smith, also known as Shauna Patrice Smith, 46, was caught recording as he held an iPhone over the barrier between fitting rooms. He fled the store in the same blonde wig and dress after the woman noticed him.
A witness told East Idaho News that "the woman was begging for help as she chased the man out the door."
"She kept saying she wanted those pictures deleted," the witness said.
The man was soon caught and interviewed by the police. He confessed after they found the video on the phone.
"The defendant (Smith) told me that she makes these videos for the 'same reason men go online to look at pornography,'" Detective Zeb Graham said.
"The defendant told me that she finds the videos sexually gratifying."
Smith has been charged with one felony count of video voyeurism. He was booked into Bonneville County Jail Tuesday as a man.
His first hearing is scheduled for July 26.
