When Tim Tebow made the decision to step away from the game of football and try his hand at baseball, many people were skeptical.
Despite the critics and naysayers, Tebow remained confident that his faith would one day carry him through to success.
The Scottsdale Scorpion is finding that success on and off the field.
Tebow once again became the center of media attention after hitting a home run on the very first pitch of his very first organized game.
Two weeks later, he was applauded for boldly praying for a fan who suffered a seizure during a game The man's seizure not only reportedly stopped after the prayer but the entire scene caught on social media went viral.
In his newly released book, Shaken: Discovering Your True Identity in the Midst of Life's Storms, Tebow addresses the lows of his professional football career and his leap of faith into professional baseball.
"When you're going through that, what do you have to hold onto?" Tebow told CBN News. "What is your foundation? Who are you? And more importantly, whose are you in your relationship with Christ?"
Tebow said it was his confidence in Christ that encouraged him to try out for major leagues teams like the Atlanta Braves. He also said deep down it had always been in his heart.
"Dreams are based on something that's in your heart, that are passions, that are something that you want to go try. Not on chances," he told ESPN sports reporter Stephen A. Smith.
"I mean, I'm so grateful that I get to go pursue something even if it's a long shot versus something that, yeah I might be able to go do and do pretty well, but if it's not in my heart why am I going to do that," he said.

Tebow added that he would rather pursue his dreams than live the status quo life.
"You know, I think that's something that's unfortunate in society is a lot of people just go do what they feel like they should do and live with the status quo and go live by all these rules and "Hey, this is going to be OK." You know, just go accept your average nine-to-five, rather than striving for something because the ultimate goal isn't to succeed or fail, the ultimate goal is to give it everything you have for something that's in your heart and a dream and pursuing that."
Although Tebow is playing for a minor league team, the outfielder said it is a decision that he does not regret.
"If you get to live out your dream every single day, then the result doesn't matter," he said.
