FBI Rescues 16 Kids in Super Bowl Trafficking Sting

09-07-2014

The FBI rescued 16 children who were sold for sex during the Super Bowl.

Authorities found the youth, ages 13 to 17, in Newark, N.J., New York City, and New Haven, Conn.

Federal agents also arrested 45 pimps and seized numerous guns.

The FBI said the Super Bowl and other large sporting events provide big opportunities for traffickers looking to sell kids.

It partnered with more than 50 law enforcement agencies this year to form a Super Bowl sex trafficking task force.
